 Fossilized ammonites are sliced in half, one side is highly polished & then put into a handmade setting. Since they occur in nature, each fossilized ammonite will be a slightly different size. The setting is made from a brass/copper alloy and is rhodium plated to give the look of sterling silver at a much lower price.
